Get back to your sport — and back to full strength after surgery
Whether you are six days past a repair or six weeks from your season, recovery should be measured, not guessed. We run surgeon-aligned protocols and sport-specific testing so you know exactly when you are ready.
About sports & post-surgical rehab
Post-surgical care follows your surgeon's protocol precisely — ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair, rotator cuff repair, labral repair, total knee and total hip replacement, ankle and foot procedures, spinal surgery. We manage swelling and range of motion first, then rebuild strength and control on schedule.
For athletes, we treat the injuries our Springfield and Ironbound patients actually get: runner's knee and IT band syndrome, hamstring and groin strains, ankle sprains, throwing shoulder pain, shin splints and soccer-related knee injuries. Blood flow restriction training lets us load tissue that cannot yet tolerate heavy weight.
Return-to-sport decisions are based on strength testing, hop and balance symmetry and movement quality — not just the calendar.

- 03
Perform
Power, agility and sport-specific drills on the gym floor and turf.
- 04

Objective strength and symmetry testing before clearance to return.
Common questions
- When should I start rehab after surgery?
- Usually within days, as soon as your surgeon clears you. Early motion prevents stiffness that is much harder to reverse later.
- How long is ACL rehab?
- Typically nine to twelve months to full return to sport, with strength and symmetry testing guiding each phase.
- Do you work with my surgeon?
- Yes. We follow their protocol and send progress updates throughout your recovery.
