New Jersey has direct access. You can be evaluated and treated by a licensed physical therapist without a physician's prescription in most situations.
The details that still matter
- Your insurance plan may still require a referral for coverage, even though state law does not.
- Some plans limit the number of visits per year or require authorization after a certain point.
- If we see something outside our scope, we refer you to the right physician promptly.
