Dr. Alex Brito PT, DPT

I’m the owner!!

Alex Brito PT, DPT, is the owner of Springfield Physical Therapy & Wellness, bringing his extensive knowledge, skill, and passion for therapy to every patient. Alex has spent more than six years honing his craft and building a practice that reflects his unique vision – to offer a practice driven by superior personalized one-on-one care and an unparalleled therapeutic relationship. Alex’s professional calling started with his experience as a soccer player on various teams where he discovered the profound impact Physical Therapy could have on one’s life. The rest, as they say, is history. Upon graduating from Touro College, he immediately began his career by working at the Universal Institute of Rehab, specializing in traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury. From there, he went on to work for and manage three out-patient clinics specializing in post-op rehab, sports rehab, orthopedics, etc. Alex is driven by his desire to solve problems and continuously expand his professional knowledge. He is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Springfield Chamber of Commerce, and Sport Club Portuguese in Newark. Alex also runs a blood drive in his office with the American Red Cross Association every August. Alex grew up in Hillside, graduating top of his class in high school. He completed his Bachelor’s of biology at NJIT with Cum Laude, was in the Albert Dormans honors college, and was on the Men’s Division I soccer team. He completed his studies at Touro College in New York, where he acquired his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and a Bachelor’s in health science and was awarded the highest clinical achievement award.

Alex is currently married to Grace, and they have three beautiful daughters together. Alex is an avid soccer player, spending his weekends on the field. These activities serve as a great source of entertainment and firsthand knowledge of the injuries he treats every day in his practice.

Dr. Glenn Forsyth PT, DPT

I’m the head physical therapist!!

Dr. Glenn Forsyth PT, DPT is the head physical therapist at Springfield Physical Therapy and Wellness. Glenn recognized his passion and fascination with human movement and performance growing up as a wrestler and avid gym-goer, while truly appreciating the specific protocols and programming it took to achieve desirable results. He utilized this personal interest in pushing the human body to different limits to steer his educational pursuits.

Glenn received his Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition and Food Sciences from New York University and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Rutgers School of Health Professions. Glenn gained experience directly out of school from treating a myriad of orthopedic conditions, including but not limited to post-operative, fractures, strains and sprains, chronic pain, and joint instability, in an outpatient setting prior to arriving at SPTW.

He brings a holistic approach to each patient he treats, stemming from his multifaceted education and experience with nutrition, personal training, stress and lifestyle management, and of course orthopedic physical therapy. Glenn additionally believes that physical therapy continues well beyond relieving pain symptoms and should be used to bridge the gap for return to higher-level activities of daily living and/or specific sports performance. This may involve a transition from muscular re-education in foundational positions and lower-level corrective exercises to performing larger, compound exercises and higher level sport specific movements all within the same plan of care! He has recently completed an extensive course in dry-needling and passed his OCS exam which extends his already impress resume and specialty.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Glenn is a teacher’s assistant for several first-year PT courses at his alma mater Rutgers, consults with club wrestling teams and injury risk management and strength/conditioning programming, and conducts personal training sessions for individual clientele. In his spare time, Glenn enjoys staying physically active and hiking with friends, visiting the shore all-year round with his wife, and constantly questioning his allegiance to the New York Football Giants.

Glenn is looking forward to continuing to grow and learn as a clinician at SPTW while helping as many patients as he can return to an optimal, pain-free life! He has recently celebrated being married and looks forward to growing his family.

Briana McGuire is super excited to join the Springfield Physical Therapy team as a physical therapist. Her passion for physical therapy began at a young age after watching her sister recover from a traumatic brain injury at just seven years old. Seeing firsthand the meaningful impact that skilled physical therapists had on her sister’s recovery inspired her to pursue a career helping others regain function, build confidence, and return to the activities they love.

Briana earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT, where she was an active member of the Kappa Alpha Theta chapter and participated in the university’s dance program. She went on directly to complete her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Rutgers University in Newark, NJ.

Outside of the clinic, Bri enjoys staying active and making the most of her time with family and friends. She loves traveling—especially visiting Portugal to see family—attending sporting events and concerts, and maintaining a consistent fitness routine. Most recently, she has taken up snowboarding and enjoys the challenge of learning a new sport.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Caldwell University and am currently pursuing my Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) at Touro University.

My passion for the physical therapy profession stems from a lifelong love of sports—I’ve played them both competitively and recreationally for as long as I can remember. Football and MMA are my favorites, and I still follow them avidly. I also thrive in the gym, where strength training and movement have always been central to my life.

These experiences inspired me to become a physical therapist: I want to help others optimize their performance, recover from injuries, and embrace active lifestyles. I’m excited to share my enthusiasm for fitness, movement, and wellness with every patient I serve.
